The title Bassness comes from the source of most sound samples, used in the piece - double bass. These aren't however real "bassy" sounds, but noises, scratch tones and harmonics, recorded acoustically and/or prepared by electronic means. The sound is moving away from the instrument's body and floating in the spaces of nightdreams, crystalizing on the abstract harmonic structures.
