composer, born 23 March 1954 in Cracow. Graduated in composition from the Music Academy in Cracow after studies with Krystyna Moszumańska-Nazar (1978) and in music theory (studies with Józef Patkowski). Since 1979, she has taught classes in the Electroacoustic Music Studio in Cracow’s Music Academy, where she also prepared her first compositions. On the later ones, she also worked in the Polish Radio Experimental Studio in Warsaw, EMS in Stockholm, EAS in Bratislava, the GRAME (Groupe de Recherche Appliquée en Musique Electroacoustique) Studio in Lyon.

Her pieces have been performed at contemporary music festivals in Poland (Warsaw, Poznań, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Kraków) and abroad (Nuremberg, Cologne, Berlin, Dresden, Hamburg, Stockholm, Oslo, Bratislava, Lyon, Seoul, Taegu, Washington, Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Bourges, Lvov, Minsk). Since 1999, she has been a member of the Repertoire Committee of the “Warsaw Autumn” International Festival of Contemporary Music. Sinmce 2005 she is director of Ear Training Faculty at the Academy of Music in Krakow.

Ombrarchetto (2003) for tape. The piece was composed for the 30th anniversary of the Electroacoustic Music Studio of the Academy of Music in Krakow. The composition has close reference to Ombraggio for violin and electroacoustic track. I am very gratefull to Kaja Danczowska and Andrzej Bauer for giving the sound material, which were the inspiration for the piece.
