Mateusz Bień (born in 1968 in Wroclaw). Composer. He graduated at the Cracow Academy of Music, currently the lecturer at the Electroacoustic Music Studio. He spend most of his time with computers. He is a sound engineer and amator programmer amatour. His composer’s interest is close to the classical repertoire. Computer are used for new sounds not available for acoustic instruments. Music for classical instruments has expression not available for digital media. Currently he is working for the integration of both elements to create a common unity.
Retroplexis (1998) Miniature. Made as a joke. Maybe as a protest against serious, dramatic and heavy new music. Walz is a basic material, transformed through series of different processes. Alltogether trivial piece of music. Mateusz Bień
