The main goal of the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music (PSeME) is a promotion of Polish electroacoustic art (electronic music, video art, sound installation, audiovisual and  interactive art) abroad, inside the network of festivals, concert series and all other electroacoustic art projects coordinated by the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (CIME) in Bourges (supported by UNESCO). Polish Society of Electroacoustic Music organizes concerts with electronic music of the second half of the XX century and the most modern and advanced forms of electronic art.

The Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music (PSeME) was established on May 7, 2005 at the Academy of Music in Krakow. The organization was founded by 16 significant authorities, initiators and directors of the main centres for electroacoustic music in Poland: Experimental Studio of the of PSeME on May 8, 2005 Vicepresident, Marek Zwyrzykowski - Secretary.

On May 7, 2006 Christophe Desjardins with the soloists from Muzyka Centrum Orchestra played the concert on the 2nd anniversary of Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music (part of Bridges project).

On September 29, November 11 and December 2 the CIME concerts were organized in Krakow.

In 2007 PSeME organized 50th Anniversary of the Polish Electroacoustic Music in form of concerts in Krakow (May 7, October 27), Bourges (Synthese Festival: June 2-3) and Beijing (Musicacoustica: October 22-24). On November 24-25 the General Assembly of CIME/ICEM were organized at the Krakow Academy of Music, as well as 2 CIME concerts included to the program of Audio Art Festival in Krakow. Krzysztof Wolek received the 1st Prize at the International Competition for Electroacoustic Music in Bourges in 2007 for his piece Mobile Variations. Another piece of him Changing Lanes and Opalescences by Katarzyna Glowicka received awards on the same competition.
